THE WORD FOR YOU: Matthew 18:19 (KJV) “Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.

Matthew 18:19 reminds couples that agreement in prayer is a powerful spiritual force. Marriage was designed by God to function in unity, not competition. When a husband and wife choose to agree, especially in prayer, they invite heaven’s authority into their home. Agreement does not mean the absence of differences; it means choosing oneness over ego, love over pride, and faith over fear.
Many couples pray individually but neglect praying together. Yet, this verse shows that God honors joint faith. When you kneel together, you align your hearts, silence the voice of division, and give God room to intervene. Disagreements, unresolved offenses, and silence can weaken this agreement and hinder answers to prayer.
Couples must intentionally build the habit of praying together, even when emotions are strained. Prayer softens hearts, restores intimacy, and re-centers the marriage on God’s will. When couples agree before God, they move from struggle to strength. Heaven responds when unity speaks.
