THE WORD FOR YOU: 1 Thessalonians 4:3–4 (KJV)

God’s desire for singles in relationships is not confusion, compromise, or secret guilt, but holiness and honour. Many singles claim love yet ignore God’s standards, forgetting that genuine love never leads us away from obedience. Relationships are not a license for sexual intimacy; they are a season for discernment, character building, and spiritual growth. When boundaries are broken, intimacy replaces purpose, and emotions cloud God’s will.
The Bible clearly teaches that sanctification is God’s will for every believer. Holiness is not optional, and self-control is a mark of spiritual maturity. A relationship that constantly pressures you to sin is not God-ordained, no matter how intense the feelings may be. Honouring God with your body protects your destiny, preserves your peace, and prepares you for a godly marriage.
says,
“for this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication: that every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honour.”
Singles who truly love God must choose obedience over desire and purpose over pleasure.
